A partir de 2015 os exames finais do ensino secundário na Áustria (chamados "Matura" ou "Reifeprüfung") vão ser centralizados no país inteiro. Neste momento já são a ser implementados em algumas escolas.
Além do exame, também muda-se o proceso da avaliação - as
modalidades da correção dos exames escritos das línguas (todas as línguas que
se estudam durante 5 anos ou mais, têm de atingir o nível B2) explicam-se neste
ficheiro.
O esquema da avaliação é uma tentativa de valorizar o trabalho dos alunos de forma positiva, em lugar de descontar pontos por erros. Se calhar possa ser útil também no contexto português.

I am already quite familiar with this new system of evaluation due to the fact that it primarily my subject areas, which are foreign language teaching. The interesting thing in account of this assessment method is that first of all the adequate application of the target-language as well as thought-structures are measured and not primarily the content of the piece of writing. Also the subdivision into various categories that have to be evaluated seems an important progress for me.
ResponderEliminarWhat I considered as noteworthy is also point 3.1 in the chapter 3 guidelines for usem which states that the test-taker will be evaluated with 0 in the case of not entirely responding to the quetion and instead of that writing about something else. Provided that the test-taker fails to fulfill this criterion, no other criteria should be considered, transforming this descriptor ina kind of veto-descriptor. This fact is of special importance because as I experienced it also myself, students tend to prepare some texts beforehand and then write these pre-prepared ones during the test, no matter what the actual question demands from them. Now, also in the case of being loosely linked with the general topic addressed by the task, the evaluation will be 0, avoiding this way unfair methods from the sides of the students.
The assessment scale itself is an extremely useful aid for teachers and takes from them the burden of how to evaluate their students. The guidelines are formulated in a transparent way, listed for all the stakeholders, including parents and students and are therefore an adequate base for fair and objective assessment.
